The History.

Background

Born and raised in Abilene, Texas, I developed an early passion for helping others find direction, confidence, and opportunity. That passion has guided every chapter of my journey — from education and counseling to consultation and real estate — and continues to shape the way I serve families today. I currently live in Murfreesboro with my husband of 28 years, Jim, our two standard schnauzers, and my husband's parents. We are grateful to watch our daughter, Allie, build her farrier business, Bare Bones Hoofcare, while also walking alongside his parents through the challenges of aging and Alzheimer's disease. This season of life continues to deepen my empathy, strengthen my resilience, and reinforce my commitment to supporting others through every stage of life.

I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Music Education from Sam Houston State University, a Master's degree in School Counseling from Amberton University, an Educational Leadership License through Carson-Newman University, and I am also a licensed real estate professional.

My career began as a middle school band director in Lewisville, where I spent seven years teaching students not only music, but also discipline, teamwork, and perseverance. I later transitioned into school counseling, serving six years as a middle school counselor at Coppell Middle School West before moving to Tennessee in 2015. I served as a high school counselor in first Williamson County then Rutherford County for a total of 10 years, helping students and families navigate academic planning, college admissions, career exploration, scholarships, graduation requirements, and the many important decisions that shape a young person's future. I also have extensive experience supporting students with disabilities through IEP and 504 plans, as well as helping gifted and high-achieving students pursue their highest goals.

Today, I proudly serve as a real estate agent with Nashville Realty Group, a boutique full-service brokerage based in Franklin, while also providing independent educational consultation and student advocacy services for families navigating educational decisions at every stage.

My unique background allows me to guide clients through both educational and lifestyle decisions with compassion, experience, and a deep understanding of what families truly need. Whether I am helping a student prepare for college, supporting parents through educational planning, or assisting a family in finding the right home and community, my goal is always the same: to serve others with integrity, care, and personal attention.
